Nipiy Tu Research and Knowledge Centre (NTRKC) aims to protect and sustain the ecological health of the Peace-Athabasca Delta while also supporting the traditional ways of life of the Indigenous communities who depend on it. We do this through open and transparent research, sharing knowledge in accessible ways, building skills and capacity within our communities, and supporting cultural and community-based economic activities.
Outstanding environmental liabilities such as the state of Big Dock require federal collaboration with all impacted Nations to safely improve navigational access. We support our founding Nations in holding the federal government accountable for transparency in sharing environmental data. This data is crucial for making informed decisions about the health of the Delta and ensuring that Treaty and Aboriginal rights are upheld.
